Privacy Policy
Bible is a scripture reading, listening, and study app that can be used without account sign-up. Most settings and usage records are stored on the user's device.
1. Information Stored or Processed
- App settings: language, Bible version, denomination, theme, screen/tab settings, audio settings
- Reading/listening history: recent chapter, playback position, continue-reading state
- Study data: bookmarks, highlights, notes, and study progress
- Notification and widget settings: reminder time and widget display state
- Local cache: temporary files for scripture text and audio playback
- Optional purchase status: store processing result when an in-app product such as ad removal is provided
2. Storage Location
The information above is generally stored on the user's device through SharedPreferences, app-specific storage, or internal cache. It may be deleted when the app is uninstalled, app data is reset, or device storage is cleared.
3. External Service Communication
The app may communicate with external Bible content providers to load scripture text, translation metadata, and audio content. Technical information required for network requests, such as IP address, request time, and app/browser environment, may be transmitted to those services.
4. Ads, Purchases, and SDKs
The app may include code for advertising SDKs or purchase status handling, such as ad removal. If ads or purchases are enabled, necessary information may be processed under the policies of services such as Google AdMob, Google Play, or the App Store. Consent notices may be shown where required by law.
5. Third-Party Sharing
The app communicates with external services only within the scope needed for Bible content delivery, ad display, or payment processing. The app does not arbitrarily sell users' personal information.
6. Retention and Deletion
- Locally stored data can be removed by resetting app settings, uninstalling the app, or deleting app data from the device.
- Notification permission can be revoked at any time from device settings.
- Cached data may be refreshed or cleared automatically while using the app.
7. Children's Privacy
Bible does not provide an account sign-up feature and does not intentionally collect personally identifiable information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated when app features, laws, or third-party SDK policies change. Material changes will be announced through app update notes or public pages.
